What types do you use in your kitchen?

We have Baccarat knives but a year ago I bought Avanti Couteau knives from Victoria's Basement and have been really happy with how they've retained their sharpness. The handles aren't thick or bulky making them easy to use. My cooking weapons of choice are my 4" and 8".
We have a set we bought at Costco. I tend to use the chief's knife and the Santoku knife more than any of the others.
I'm afraid I'm not much of a kitchen person and neither a knife person.
VERY sharp Wusthof, good German steel. I am a cook of some substance, so can't abide pithy, non sharp knives.

My son's a Chef, & upon his Graduation, we gave him a complete set of FURI Knives, engraved with his full name on each!
Years ago I bought my husband a really good set of knives. His father was a chef so they were very particular. Me, I don;t care so much and I'm not sure what brand they are.
I not sure, I not frequently for cooking.
But I take every types of knives as appropriate.
